Our menus focus mainly on the large number of foreign tourists that visit our hotel throughout the year and want to eat local and traditional dishes.
Most popular is our Lamb Shank, slowly braised in red wine, herbs and spices to ensure a most flavorsome dish.
Our Lamb Pie is world renowned - a phyllo basket filled with delicious stewed mutton off the bone - the nearer the bone, the sweeter the meat !
Bobotie is probably the most unusual dish to a foreigner - a Cape Malay recipe with minced meat, flavoured with different curries and marsalas with bay leaves.
Always popular with our locals is a good steak, and that we do excellently! We buy from a local butcher who is passionate about the meat he sells. Hanged out to mature and checked daily until just perfect before he sells it to us.
Rump or fillet with a pepper or mushroom sauce makes a local farmer as "happy as a pig in mud!!"
We also cater for vegetarians and other dietary preferences.
In winter, fires & candles and soft, live music provided by our charming pianist, add to the romance in the air.
In summer, our garden is alive with the show of white iceberg roses as far as the eye can see. The sheltered terrace is then turned into a paradise, a feast for the eye.
With the added sound of running water, this whole outside area is perfect for relaxing over a glass of local wine and one of our delicious lunches.
