Kokkemans Kitchen presents diners with a delightful dining experience in two distinct restaurants; the Traditional Kitchen offers cuisine such as Cape Malay lamb curry, bobotie, red wine infused Karoo lamb shank, Springbok carpaccio, grilled trout, salads and a wide variety of other mouth-watering culinary delights. All food is freshly sourced and prepared in our kitchen by people who understand the gastronomic pleasures of life. Also keep an eye on our black board specials for something out of the ordinary.

The Med Cafe‚ specializes in a selection of gourmet hamburgers, thin based pizzas, flame grilled pork spare ribs and pastas, served with an ice cold Darling Brew craft beer on the side as well as a selection of wines from the region. Take-Away is also available on these menu items. We also cater to the specific needs of small and large groups (maximum 30) in the Med Cafe‚ and small groups of 10 or less people in the private Lion Room. Celebrate your next birthday or anniversary in our company and enjoy our hospitality.

Boerebraai - A truly South African Braai is hosted for up to 16 people on Wednesday evenings in the lounge serving; Karoo lamb chops, steak, boerewors (aromatic beef sausage) and a chicken sosatie (kebab), all prepared on an open wood fire complimented by delicacies such as; pap en sous (polenta with sauce), braaibroodjie (fire-roasted sandwich) and a choice of salads. Come and enjoy a rich South African tradition of braaiing your food on open coals. Booking is essential and limited to 16 pax.

Nolan (co-owner/ chef) and Estelle (head chef) have gained extensive experience and hands on knowledge owning and managing restaurants on the Cape south coast where they honed their food skills over more than twenty years of serving great food and dishes. Theuns (co-owner) is an entrepreneur and comes from a management background and is also a fully qualified South African tour guide, combining his love of country and food into managing the best of both worlds: Kokkemans Kitchen.

The friendly Kokkemans Team invites and welcomes patrons to experience the culinary delights on offer at our restaurants. Be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Montagu Muskadel wine and a warm, inviting fire to ease the chill of the Little Karoo-winter on Route62.
