February is the month of luurve, but it is also the month of love of family, friends and the community at large. One of the objectives of the International Inner Wheel is to promote true friendship, and we know that true friendship makes the world go round. The members of the Inner Wheel Club of Route 62 based in Montagu are a true reflection of that. This is shown in the support they give each other and the community at large.
As this is our first report of 2019, we want to thank the Montagu community for the support they gave us in 2018. Our Christmas hamper raised over R3500.00 from tickets sold at just R5.00 each. We had collected so many goodies that we had two hampers to give as prizes. The lucky winners of the first prize were the Ronaldsons, (caption 1) new-comers to Montagu, while the second prize went to old friends, the Gordons (caption 2). Congratulations, and thanks for your generous contributions!
During their travels, two of our members made contact with clubs in other countries who have been very impressed with what we are managing to achieve. We could not continue with our projects if we didn't get wonderful support from the Montagu community. We hope we can continue in this way. Our Facebook page is getting more visits and likes and in this way we can inform you and the rest of the world of what we are doing.
