With the visitor count of this website increasing steadily year after year - backed by our Tourism Office's stats reporting an average of 32,000 visitors to Montagu per month, it is evident that Montagu continues to grow in popularity and for good reason.

What an amazing year for the town of Montagu! Despite the roadworks causing some discomfort and unexpected delays, we have a lot to look forward to when it is all completed. Some finishing touches are already popping up here and there - such as the new streetlights in Long Street, which look amazing!
2016 saw several events that exceeded all expectations. The annual Montagu Youth Arts Festival did not disappoint - our local youth simply shone this year! The Montagu Makiti Festival was a very successful event with plans for next year already in motion. Other successful events include the Eroica Cycle Tour, Montagu Mountain Mania, the very first Route 62 Oktoberfest ... all promising to be bigger and better next year.
As the year comes to a close, there is still much to look forward to in Montagu. On 16 December, our popular
Christmas Market is something you do not want to miss.
