Cogmanskloof Pass upgrade

The Provincial Government of the Western Cape (PGWC), Department of Transport and Public Works: Roads Infrastructure Branch is proposing to upgrade and rehabilitate Section 2 of Trunk Road 31 (TR31/2) between Ashton and Montagu (Cogmanskloof Pass) as well as the improvement of bridge structures and rest areas along the pass.

This Executive Summary (click here to view the document) includes the main findings of the Draft Basic Assessment Report (BAR) prepared for the proposed project. The Draft BAR is being distributed for a 40-day review / comment period from 19 June to 30 July 2012 in order to provide Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) and authorities the opportunity to comment on the proposed project and the Draft BAR. Further copies of the full report are available at the following locations:

1. Ashton Public Library, Ashton;
