Please find attached the programme for September when the theme will be GREAT BRITISH FILMS OF THE FORTIES.
These films feature famous names such as: Celia Johnson, Trevor Howard, Stanley Holloway, Deborah Kerr, Anton Walbrook, John Mills, Valerie Hobson, Finlay Currie, Alec Guinness, Gordon Jackson, Basil Radford, Flora Robson, Richard Attenborough, Hermione Baddeley, William Hartnell, Denis Price, Joseph Cotton, Orson Wells.
Films will include: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF COLONEL BLIMP (1943); BRIEF ENCOUNTER (1945); GREAT EPECTATIONS (1946); BLACK NARCISSUS (1947); BRIGHTON ROCK (1948); KIND HEARTS AND CORONETS (1949); THE THIRD MAN (1949); WHISKY GALORE (1949).
Additionally, there will be Verdi’s great “British” opera FALSTAFF.

The next live recital at Wahnfried will be on Saturday 28th October at 5pm:
A journey from Spanish keyboard music to the Viennese Classic Style.
The highly accomplished Italian pianist IDA PELLICCIOLI will play music by Scarlatti, Mozart, Blasco de Nebra and Schubert.
