Please find the programme for April (below), when the theme will be Russell Crowe who celebrates his 60th birthday on the 7th April.
Born in New Zealand, he spent 10 years of his childhood in Australia. He has earned various accolades, including an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and a British Academy Film Award. Crowe is considered by many to be one of the greatest actors of the 21st century. Crowe gained international recognition for his starring roles as a police detective in the thriller L.A. Confidential. He gained wider stardom for playing the title role in the period film Gladiator, winning the Academy Award for Best Actor. Further acclaim came for portraying mathematician John Forbes Nash Jr. in the biopic A Beautiful Mind.
Films this month with include: L.A. CONFIDENTIAL (1997); GLADIATOR (2000); A BEAUTIFUL MIND (2001); LES MISERABLES (2012).
Additionally in order to showcase the new equipment in Wahnfried, I am obtaining a 4k Blu-ray of Sir Richard Attenborough’s acclaimed nature series SEVEN WORLDS, ONE PLANET. This is truly spectacular with stunning picture and sound quality. Not to be missed! Over 1,500 people worked on the series, which was filmed over 1,794 days, with 92 shoots across 41 countries.
