Join the Montagu ECO Club on a visit to and overnight stay at the GECKO ROCK FARM of JONATHAN AND SHARON DEAL : 17-18 APRIL 2018
Departure will be from the Montagu Tourism Office in Bath Street at 10h00 on Tuesday 17 April and it is envisaged that everyone will be back in Montagu around mid-day on Wednesday 18 April.
Gecko Farm is situated some 60 km north-east of Montagu along the Ouberg Pass gravel road. It can be easily reached without having to use ‘bakkies’/4x4 vehicles. However, travel along the pathways on the farm would undoubtedly be made far easier if ‘bakkies’/ 4x4 vehicles were to be used/available.
The Deals have kindly undertaken to address the visitors either on the late afternoon or early evening of 17 April on the most recent developments of Fracking in the country. To judge from previous information gleaned on this absorbing subject from Jonathan Deal, visitors can look forward to a most interesting talk.
Accommodation at Gecko Rock is available in the form of three (3) fully self-contained bungalows with six (6) beds in each bungalow. A special tariff of R 350 pp (excluding meals/refreshments, the responsibility of members) has been offered to the MEC. The size of the touring group is limited to 18 so reservations are essential and should be made at the earliest, together with a deposit of R 100 pp, with Anne-Marie Coetzee at the Montagu Tourism Office (023-614 2471 firstname.lastname@example.org
A braai on the Wednesday evening is planned and detailed information in regard to suggested food to take along will be given to members planning to accompany the MEC on the particular visit.
We look forward to you accompanying the MEC to Gecko Rock Farm on 17-18 April 2018.
