This highly successful festival is a collaborative project between the museum and organisations in the area, with a focus on the youth and omitted histories. We will also showcase our local and regional traditional indigenous herbs and their uses.
The venues for the Montagu Museum Herb Festival will be The Old Mission Church, the main Museum building, which will form the nucleus of the Festival with Joubert House and the Herb Garden playing supportive, but essential roles.
We will be hosting well-known speakers who are experts in their fields as well as workshops and demonstrations. We will also feature our special guided Donkerkloof hikes and walks in the Montagu Nature Garden.
