Friday, 17th January: Maudie
This heartwarming and poignant film tells the true story of Maud Lewis, a remarkable Canadian folk artist who overcame adversity to create a vibrant and joyful world of art. Despite facing poverty and physical limitations, Maud found solace and expression in her paintings, transforming her humble home into a colourful masterpiece. She achieved national recognition late in life for her cheerful paintings of landscapes, animals and flowers, which offer a nostalgic and optimistic vision of her native province.

Friday, January 31st: Girl with a Pearl Earring
Scarlett Johansson delivers a mesmerising performance in this visually stunning film based on the novel by Tracy Chevalier. Set in 17th-century Delft, the story follows Griet, a young maid who becomes the muse of the renowned Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer.
