Hugh Davies was born in Zimbabwe 1958. He attended Kleinmond Junior School and Rondebosch Boys High School, where he matriculated in 1976.
He completed a National Diploma in Timber Technology. He also completed a BCom degree.
Since 1993 he has been consulting, training and auditing ISO Management Systems. He is active in the Forestry and Timber industry mainly.
He grew up in a morally good but non-Christian home, yet feeling a tugging that there was something more that he was called to. At the age of 28 he had to lose his passport in order to find satisfaction in Christ.
In 1986 he married Jenni. They have four children: Kirsten 35, Julia 34, Michael 27, Haley 25.
