67 MINUTES FOR LANGEBERG
An annual project to unite and stand together in making Langeberg and each of our towns a better place to live in.

MAIN ACTIONS
1. TAKE HANDS AND BUILD THE HEART NETWORK - Invitation to join the network and public pledge to collaborate in addressing needs in our communities.
2. OPEN HEARTS AND HANDS - FOOD, CLOTHES, STATIONERY AND BLANKET DRIVE - Collect food products and soup, second hand clothing, stationery and blankets for families in crisis, children in need and older people in the community
3. KEEP LANGEBERG CLEAN - Promote responsibility for cleaning in front of your own door (home and business) and assist in cleaning high impact areas in each town.
4. NEIGHBOURHOOD EXCHANGE LITTER FOR SOUP AND USED CLOTHES - Vulnerable community members clean up their area in exchange for soup and clothing coupons at temporary soup kitchen and secondhand clothing points
5. CHILD FRIENDLY AWARENESS, NEIGHBOURHOOD EXCHANGE LITTER FOR SOUP – Montagu Cares run awareness and cleaning project at community sites with children.
6. OUTREACH TO VULNERABLE OLDER PERSONS IN THE COMMUNITY – distribution of blankets, warm items and food to the most needy older persons.

Deliver any of the items below to Montagu Cares in Ashbury (next to Ashbury Library),.or contact us for pickup.
• Clothes, blankets, winter items, stationery
Any clean, whole, usable second-hand clothing and
shoes clean blankets, knitted scarves, beanies and
socks and basic school stationery
• Containers
5 liter containers for soup distribution
Paper cups or any 250/300ml container for portions
• Food products and/or homemade soup and
Sandwiches

3. Volunteer
• Pledge your time and the time of your organisation’s/ business’s staff for the project in any of the following ways
• Clean in front of your own house/building/business and organise neighbours to work together to clean your immediate neighbourhood.

o Coordinate a site

Money can buy any product
Donate money or sign up for a monthly donation, no matter the amount, it will be a difference in the life of someone. Funding will be used mainly to support ongoing food security, emergency and school projects in Montagu.
