Lovers Walk Rock Art Restoration with Dr Janette Deacon
Dr Deacon will revisit the rock art site in Lovers Walk with volunteers from the SA Archaeological Society to remove more of the graffiti. She has stressed that removing graffiti is time consuming and painstaking work that requires a lot of patience if it is to be done properly.
Volunteers are welcome and do not have to bring anything except their own refreshments and a packed lunch. The work is not suitable for under 18s.

Dr Deacon will also hold a talk in the Old Mission Church and answer questions - what you have always wanted to know about archaeology but were afraid to ask!
Questions are welcome in either Afrikaans or English.
Entrance is R50 - in aid of the Montagu Museum.
