Die Laerskool Koo is geleë in die pragtige Koo Vallei, Montagu, Wes-Kaap. Ons is ‘n Multi-graad Staatsondersteunende privaatskool met 43 leerders vanaf Graad 1-7. Ons streef Christelike waardes na. Alle buitemuursbedrywighede soos atletiek, rugby, netbal, mini-krieket, tennis en driekamp word by die skool aangebied en die leerlinge presteer baie goed omdat individuele aandag moontlik is. Ons kinders presteer ook uitstekend op kulturele gebied met klavier, sang en voordrag.
Vir die gemeenskap is die voortbestaan van die skool ‘n hoë prioriteit en die skool geniet die ondersteuning van al die inwoners. Die gebou behoort aan die Koo Landbouvereniging wat dan ook die terrein en gebou instand hou. Ten spyte van ‘n klein skooltjie, kry ons dit reg om elke leerling tot sy volle potensiaal te ontwikkel en die goeie verhouding tussen leerling, onderwyser en ouer is iets waarop ons baie trots is.
Ongelukkig is ons sterkpunt ook ons swakpunt. Met slegs 43 leerders maak die skool baie staat op fondsinsamelings vir die voortbestaan van die skool. Daarom het die skool besluit om ‘n fietsrywedren aan te bied. Die 'Karoo Poison'.
​Die wedren gaan in die Nougaspoort area plaasvind by die gasteplaas Leeuwenboschfontein. Hierdie is geleë in die hartjie van die Klein Karoo vandaar die naam Karoo Poison. Die wedren gaan by Leeuwenboschfontein begin en eindig.

Koo Primary School is located in the beautiful Koo Valley, Montagu, Western Cape. We are a Multi-grade, State Supported, Private School with 43 learners from Grades 1-7. We believe in Christian values. All outdoor activities such as athletics, rugby, netball, mini-cricket, tennis and triathlon are offered at the school and the pupils perform very well because individual attention is possible. Our children also perform excellently in the cultural field with piano, singing and performance.

For the community, the survival of the school is a high priority and the school enjoys the support of all the residents. The building belongs to the Koo Agricultural Association, which then also maintains the site and building. Despite a small school, we manage to develop each pupil to its full potential and the good relationship between pupil, teacher and parent is something we are very proud of.

Unfortunately, our strengths are also our weaknesses. With only 43 learners, the school relies heavily on fundraising for the continued existence of the school.

That's why the school decided to host a cycling race. We call it the 'Karoo Poison'

The race will take place in the Nougaspoort area at the guest farm Leeuwenboschfontein. This is located in the heart of the Little Karoo hence the name Karoo Poison. The race will start and end at Leeuwenboschfontein.
