The course is for novice and experienced birdwatchers to become involved in bird-watching in a practical and sustainable way. The course covers bird identification (garden birds, water birds, birds of prey and more difficult species such as the 'little brown jobs'), birding tourism and conservation issues. Emphasis is placed on the further development of the Route 62 region as a top birding destination. Cost includes basic notes and certificates endorsed by BirdLife South Africa. Gift vouchers are available.
