Montagu A Cappella, now in its 8th year, extends an invitation to ALL singers who'd like to enjoy some lively choral music-making, and to spread some Christmas cheer, through a selection of old and modern Christmas carols, sung (hopefully!) in 4-part harmonies.
This is a short 12-week opportunity to practise some carols (in English and Afrikaans), and then to perform them for various audiences in the first 3 weeks of December.
The good news is: (1) it's free, and (2) you DON'T need to be able to read music! All that's required is the ability to sing in tune and maintain a rhythm. Rehearsals are once per week (starting in Sept) for 1,5 hours (5.30-7 p.m.), and includes a free muscadel.
So, bring along a friend (or 2!), a sense of humour, and a good dose of determination. And, then, allow the 87 benefits (it's true!) of singing to put a spring in your step, and joy in your heart, this Christmas season.
