Cello & Piano Recital

The Karlsruhe Concert Duo returns to Montagu's Old Mission Church on Friday, 7 November, for an unforgettable evening of classical music.

Cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann have performed in 100 countries across all continents, gracing stages from the Verbier Festival to the Brisbane Music Festival. Their program takes audiences on a captivating journey from Beethoven's revolutionary G minor Sonata through Tchaikovsky's lyrical Mélodie and Shostakovich's emotionally charged pieces from The Gadfly Suite. The evening also features Kapustin's jazz-influenced Burlesque before closing with Brahms's glorious F major Sonata.

Since founding their duo in 1999, they've won numerous international competitions and earned critical acclaim for performances described as "a sound and music experience that touches the soul."
