More on the artists:
• Lyzyrd Kyngs:
In 2010 Jack Hammer’s frontman Piet Botha, the Godfather of South African rock teamed up with Akkedis, the renowned african-rock lizards from Somerset West and The Lyzyrd Kyngs were born. What happens is that a whole bunch of songs get thrown in the mix and the really good ones become the backbone of the sets. The Lyzyrd Kyngs will entertain no matter what, they love to play and the fans love hearing them. It is also a bilingual happening as both Piet and the Dennis brothers have written in Afrikaans and English. “It’s a wonderful thing that happens because we are all just so crazy for the music and we just want to play ..”, Botha has said on more than one occasion.
• The Gambles:
The Gambles consists of 4 eclectic members, namely, Dean Coché, Kent Farmer, Mark Ellis and Jean Marais. Each of the members come from various backgrounds and influences, ranging from rock to blues to reggae, and everything in between. The name “The Gambles” symbolises the different kinds of genres apparent in our music. Our creative process is always interesting, and different for
Blitzind is a live jamming band, mixing musicians to groove to the flow of energy. Mixing blues rock funk and grunge whatever is on the menu.
