Bes loved art as a child but was encouraged to develop in a music direction. Then life happened, everything changed. She traveled a lot after emigrating to The Netherlands. There pottery was a medium explored as well as photography. In 2012 she joined a painting group.
In 2017 Bes returned to her homeland SA and settled in Montagu. Joined the Montagu Art Association and is active in drawing and portrait painting groups. Her style varies from realistic portrait drawings to experimenting with abstract, modern and naive painting.
