The Montagu National Youth Arts Festival takes place in our beautiful town, Montagu, around the 3rd quarter (between August and October) each year.

It is one of the few youth festivals in South-Africa that incorporates visual art, various dance forms e.g. ballet/modern/hip-hop etc. drama; literature and music (incl. choirs, piano recitals, vocalists and ensembles) into one creative outlet – it is a must attend event for all youngsters who are serious about art or who just need another platform to perform!

Each participant receives either a Double Gold, Gold, Silver, Bronze or Merit certificate, as deemed by professional adjudicators. Floating trophies can also be won in each category e.g. Best Actor (Drama) or Best Soloist (Music).

Entry fees are minimal (depending on whether it is a group or individual participating)
