MONTAGU ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP

The above mentioned Support Group, also known affectionately as the "Mind Boggling Club" has been in existence for more than 3 years, having been formed on 24th July 2008.

The correct title of the group is M A S G - Langeberg Branch - Western Cape Region, and we are affiliated to Alzheimers South Africa, our parent body. Our Regional Head Office is in Cape Town.

Our aim is to make all people within the bounds of the Langeberg area/Municipality aware of the condition of Alzheimers, its symptoms and problems which occur, to answer the questions which are asked and to provide support and care for sufferers of the disease and their families; as well as training whenever possible, for the certification of qualified Carers for the Alzheimers patients.

We are a non profit organisation and are dependent on the funding and good graces of our town's people. These funds go towards Carer Training in particular. As this is a world wide growing problem, even here in our Langeberg district, so these funds will become more and more necessary.
Donations to the Organisation are tax refundable. The N P O number is 001/352 and the P B O is 930006472.

The Montagu Support Group meets once a month on the second Thursday afternoon, at 3 p m, for the purpose of sharing and caring.
