The annual Lions Day for Senior Citizens was held on 7 November 2009 at the local NGK Hall. More than 125 people from the following groups attended this function :
ACVV Montagu, Huis Uitvlucht Montagu, Spring Roses Montagu, Lingelihle Old Age Home Zolani, Silverthreads Dienssentrum Ashton, Huis Rosenhof Ashton, Montagu Covenant Church, Montagu Community Church, AGS Montagu and AGS Ashbury.

Entertainment was presented by the “Wild Animals” from the Montagu Pre-Primary School and the Lynne Brown singers from Robertson, followed by the performance of the blind gospel singer Len Viljoen from Worcester.
All received rounds of warm applause.

A scrumptious lunch was served, completing another service project to our community and before going home, all those present also received a small gift.
