by Ronel Preston 29/11/2009 The Montagu Police Forum is collecting gifts for our farm children for Christmas this year.
Brown paper bags, specially decorated for the purpose by the learners of Ashbury Primary School, were handed out at local churches in town earlier this month when the community was asked to donate a gift for a child this Season.
Each bag has a label on which the donor can indicate if the gift is for a boy or a girl, as well as the age group for which the gift is suited.
The gifts will be distributed on the farms by members of the Montagu Police themselves in order to foster a healthy relationship will the Police Force from an early age.
The community is reminded that we have until Friday, 4th of December to drop off gifts at any of the following outlets: OK Foods, SPAR or Agrimark where it can be placed in the special containers provided for the purpose.
(If you do not have a suitable bag in which to place a gift, any bag can be used, but please remember to label whether it is for a girl / boy and for which agegroup the gift is suited)
