"IT Factor" – (Incredible Talent) LANGEBERG TALENT SEARCH
The primary mission of the Rural Arts Development (RAD) Foundation is to introduce the Arts to the community, and to provide a vehicle to keep youth off the streets, educate them in social issues, to set goals and be part of a project supported by the local community.
For talented youth Competitive Platforms instil the desire to join, engage experience, rehearse and ultimately be rewarded with realistic goals. The events create several “part time” job opportunities and mentoring opportunities in aspects of administration of event management.
In addition, these events are a platform for collaborative fund raising by the community. (Food stalls, art & craft, product displays – to name a few) This initiative was taken on by the
RAD Foundation as a vehicle to provide entertainment for the SWELLENDAM CANOLA FESTIVAL : 9th-11th August.
Coca-Cola has sponsored the stage and sound for this event, and we will be sending the winners from each town, and each category, to perform at the CANOLA JAM FESTIVAL. (Swellendam, Suurbraak and Barrydale included, and being managed by CAP and collaboration of local NPO’s from Swellendam)

The events will take place in the following 9 venues: Robertson, Nqubela, Mc Gregor, Ashton, Xolani, Bonnievale, Happy Valley, Montagu Community Centre, and Montagu Primary School.
