Dried Fruit is our Life!
| Our history with the drying of fruit began 40 years ago. For most of these years the dried fruit was sold to a large South African company. This changed about ten years ago when our two farms, Locarno and Janlootsrivier began selling their dried fruit directly to the public. It was a huge success and in 2006 we established Locarno Sun Dried Fruit with the vision of supplying the South African market with the best quality Dried Fruit. Our fruit is sun dried from November to April on the two farms 20km outside Montagu on the way to Oudtshoorn. The scenic Route 62 runs through the farms. Montagu is situated in the Little Karoo, which is well known for the area with the best climate to produce exceptional fruit for drying. In 2007 we expanded to the Northern Cape when we bought Kalahari Dried fruit in Upington. We are now proud to offer a full product range that consists of a vast selection of dried fruit, nuts, sweets and many more, all of the highest quality.
